| Short Bio: I have a B.Sc and M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Signal Processing applied to biomedical signals. I hold certifications in Neural Engineering, Advanced Signal Processing, and Deep Learning. I've received several research awards and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications. My research interests are: Electrophysiological and biomechanical signal processing, artificial intelligence in healthcare, computational neuroscience, and wearable medical device design. I have 10 years of combined experience in clinical and academic settings, and I co-founded and held the CTO position of a startup leading a novel design of a wearable non-invasive glucometer. Name: Sophia Xueyling Li | Short Bio: Sophia earned an Honours BSc degree in Pharmacology and Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Toronto, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Health Informatics at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health at UofT. She is interested in advanced data analytics to provide data-driven recommendations and solutions to improve healthcare.
