Data Integration

Our team integrates data from REDCap, XNAT, Labkey, Wearable devices, and also our EHR system (I-Care) into a single data warehouse to serve analytical use-cases.  The data is harmonized using HL7 FHIR and NIDM; additional metadata is captured using DATS.  Data in the warehouse is refreshed daily.

REDCap

REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure, web-based application designed exclusively to support data capture for research studies.  Our team provides REDCap consultation on project design and data management optimization, ensuring efficient data collection workflows and high quality data. Our services also encompass user training and technical support, helping users to effectively navigate REDCap’s features and leverage its full potential for research and data collection.

XNAT

XNAT is the data sharing platform leveraged at the KCNI for imaging informatics.  We assist you in the journey of your data from collection to dissemination.  Many data uploads are already in place at KCNI, but we can help in setting up new automated uploads for new studies or novel datatypes.  We de-identify your data and can customize the de-identification to fit your REB and data sharing needs.  Additionally, we have many preprocessing pipelines in place already -- NIfTI conversion, BIDS conversion, Freesurfer, fmriprep, mriqc, MARA, RELAX -- and are always excited to work with you to add your pipeline to the platform.  These pipelines can be set-up to run automatically, be user driven, or a combination of the two.
