I have a traditional "wet lab" background, studying brain samples in mice but have transferred since my undergrad to more computational research. Name: Aditi Surendra | Short Bio: From the dawn of my career, I have jumped from one industry to another gathering valued experience in a variety of things - event management, music journalism, copy and content writing, graphic design, radio production and even had a couple of short stints as a DJ. I finally chose the path of a content creator for the development sector, covering topics like education, wildlife and sexual and mental health. In 2019, I started working for White Swan Foundation for Mental Health, India's largest mental health repository until the closure of their content team. Name: Sophia Xueyling Li | Short Bio: Sophia earned an Honours BSc degree in Pharmacology and Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Toronto, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Health Informatics at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health at UofT. She is interested in advanced data analytics to provide data-driven recommendations and solutions to improve healthcare. Name: Ramzi Halabi | Short Bio: I have a B.Sc and M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Signal Processing applied to biomedical signals. I hold certifications in Neural Engineering, Advanced Signal Processing, and Deep Learning. I've received several research awards and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications. My research interests are: Electrophysiological and biomechanical signal processing, artificial intelligence in healthcare, computational neuroscience, and wearable medical device design. I have 10 years of combined experience in clinical and academic settings, and I co-founded and held the CTO position of a startup leading a novel design of a wearable non-invasive glucometer. Name: Amirmohammad Kazemeini | Short Bio: I am Amirmohammad Kazemeini, currently finishing my M.Sc. in CS at Western University. I have experience in Data Mining and Natural Language Processing. In my past publications, I was primarily involved with combining psychology with Natural Language processing, and to be specific, I utilized state-of-the-art NLP approaches to extract people's personality traits based on textual documents. Before my current internship, I was an intern at Vector Institute. Name: Rahavi Selvarajan | Short Bio: I am Rahavi Selvarajan, a 2nd-year graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. I am currently working in the field of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. I work as a Research Trainee at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation under the guidance of Dr. Elham Dolotabadi.
